Heating Tips
Rocky Mountain Swim League (RMSL) runs cardless meets. No heating cards will be used. Below is information that you can do to help your swimmer, coaches and volunteers to ensure your swimmers gets to heating in time to swim their events.
Make an "Event/Heat/Lane" chart on the swimmer’s arm (or leg) in Sharpie detailing their events. This can be done at the meet or once the program is available. The chart should include any individual and/or relays your swimmer is swimming. An example of the "Event/Heat/Lane" chart is shown below:
Note: The application of some spray sunscreens can affect Sharpie.
At the meet, pay close attention to first and last call information being announced and posted. Swimmers must check into the heating area and Clerk of Course prior to their race. After checking in, swimmers will be lined up according to heats and lanes.
