Stonegate Stingrays

This is a developmental team designed to prepare 3.5-5 year old children for swim team in future years. Mini Rays meet twice a week with one fun meet at the end of the year.

Mini Rays is designed for children who are comfortable with the water and are ready to learn the basics of swimming such as freestyle and backstroke. The goal by the end of the season is that mini rays will be able to swim a lap by themselves. All mini rays will have until the end of the 1st week to withdraw or transition into the regular swim team if needed.

Details of being a Mini Rays:

• The age range is 3.5-5 year olds. (Must be 3yrs old by December 1st)
• The price for Mini Rays is $210 per swimmer.
• You will enroll in M/W Session- 9-9:45a OR T/Th Session- 9-9:45am
• Complete 1 Social Volunteer shift during the season. (Volunteer jobs listed below)
• The Stingrays Head Coach and Junior Coaches will run the Mini Rays practices.

Important Dates for the 2025 Season:

• May 27th- 5pm Mini Ray Assessment T/TH group
• May 28th- Mini Ray Assessment M/W group
• June 2nd- First practice for M/W Session
• June 3rd- First practice for T/Th Session
• June 28th- Mini Ray exhibition during dual swim meet (Details to follow)
• July 32nd- Mini Ray Swim Meet both sessions and final day for mini rays.

Mini Rays are part of the team and invited to attend all Stingrays parties and events! They will be in the official Stingrays team picture and receive a team shirt! Mini Rays are also be invited to join the end of season banquet and will also receive an end-of-season trophy.
